A commissioned piece depicting a scene from the ever wonderful Ocarina of Time

A piece for Columbia University's Barnard Magazine for a story involving -- in ways -- skydiving, learning to fly, and letting go.

A little bit of recent freelance work done for an app game. These were fun to do! They ended up going in a different style direction, but I really liked the idea of this game and look forward to the release.

Yay! So, here are my contributions to the upcoming Curiosities show at Gallery Nucleus. I'm super excited for both the book and the show.

Three sketches for some pieces I'm working on for an upcoming show (more details on this in my next post). The inspiration for these is rooted in four of my favorite places in LA -- the Griffith Observatory, the Huntington Gardens, the Natural History Museum, and the Getty.

Till then, here are two lady doodles I did while looking up artifacts for the third piece from above.

The last days of Summer.

Yesterday, I played around for the first time with making an animated gif. It was fun, and now that I'm a little more familiar with the capabilities, I'll make one more.

Inspired by one of my favorite stories of all -- The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Add to that this background illustration inspired by one of my favorite months of all -- October.

I think goats are funny. They possess a nice blend of silly cuteness, with their strange eyes...

A hazy Kai, done while making notes on Dutch painting.

A little something I did while listening to this song -- which, er, is Scottish, but I haven't been there (yet) so I based this on my travels to Ireland. I'll always be one for the sun, but there is something about the lush hills and fog of the Emerald Isle that is truly mystical.

Speaking of mystical things... THIS and THIS. BOOM!

Rough idea of the Robber Baron's daughter. 'cause sometimes I like to end posts with just...some random thing.

Working my way through sketches of the major locations in this story.

Pan and Pitys

A rough sketch I did the night I put together my porfolio blog.

Mountains and ice shards.

I based this drawing on the memory of someone close to me.
I haven't seen her in a very long time, but I thought of her today.

Working out the face for my Snow Queen. She has a placid snowy state and a threatening jagged state -- like an icy mountain. Well, that's the intent anyways. I'm working on getting her there.
