This week, I thought about a few things:
I thought about the word "home" -- which I hear mentioned a lot every day at work...not in any particularly poetic sense, but mentioned nonetheless -- and I thought about the feeling of being adrift. I saw a picture of a girl in a lavender field that reminded me of the scene from Gladiator where Maximus returns "home" to Elysium to his wife and son. And, somehow, that all resulted in the above sketch.
I thought about the beauty of Iron and Wine's "The Trapeze Singer" for the billionth time. That resulted in a couple sketches for upcoming pieces -- this is one of them.
And, lastly, I thought about relaxing and not thinking about anything. That resulted in an impala.
